Norfolk is a waterfront city that is home to Naval Station Norfolk, the largest naval base in the world. It has seven miles of Chesapeake Bay beachfront and a total of 144 miles of shoreline along lakes, rivers and the Bay. Much of the land is located in residential neighborhoods. Norfolk is the key business center to all of Hampton Roads.
